The Indian American Chamber of Commerce of Orlando (IACC), in conjunction with the Central Florida Association of Physicians from the Indian Subcontinent (CAPI), will celebrate living out Mahatma Gandhi’s message of peace and service by packaging 30,000 meals for hungry children affected by recent hurricanes. The areas with the highest needs will have priority for meal distribution. This event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017. With registration at 9 a.m., and lunch provided at noon. The public is encouraged to join in this activity. Parents are welcome to bring children to share in the giving experience.
The location for the meal packaging will be at the Hindu Society of Central Florida, located at 1994 Lake Dr, Casselberry, FL 32707. The event will support the efforts of Feeding Children Everywhere, an organization committed to globally providing healthy meals to those in need, and by implementing sustainability goals to reduce the carbon footprint along with the utilization of harmful plastics.
The IACC is searching for corporate and personal sponsors for this event, including the purchasing of meals. If interested, call or text (407) 616-8872.
